Sasha Onyshchenko's Essay on Dance Photography

In 2010, Sasha Onyschchenko ended his professional dancing career and transitioned to become a full-time commercial photographer. But it wasn't until he moved to Montreal in 2015 that he rediscovered his love for ballet.

He began working with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, where his wife is a soloist. He has also worked with the Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal, The Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada, Eifman Ballet, Margie Gillis, and others.

He is drawn to working with passionate subjects involving musicians, dancers and artists.

He wrote an essay back in 2021 about how he fell back in love with ballet through his dance photography.
