As a 2027 Pas de Deux Photo Conference Dancer Model, you'll be at the heart of the creative experience. Each selected dancer receives a personalized conference schedule featuring five modeling sessions with conference attendees and guest speakers. Throughout the weekend, dancer models participate in class demonstrations, photo walks, and professionally designed portfolio-building studio sessions.


Every day begins with dancer warm-ups led by our Creative Directors, setting the stage for an inspiring experience filled with creativity, collaboration, and growth. Dancers also enjoy exclusive social events and Master Classes designed to elevate both their artistry and professional development.

PDD Photography Conference Begins

Dancer Models at the Conference

Pas de Deux Photo Conference Dancer Models participate in a unique blend of modeling, education, and networking opportunities. Each dancer receives a personalized schedule that includes five modeling sessions with conference attendees and guest speakers. Throughout the weekend, dancers may participate in:

  • Individual and small-group photo sessions

  • Photo walks and class demonstrations

  • Portfolio-building studio sessions

  • Daily warm-up classes

  • Master classes and workshops

  • Dancer-only social events and networking opportunities

Modeling sessions typically last 60–90 minutes and may require dancers to repeat movements, jumps, turns, or poses multiple times. Dancer models should be prepared to demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude throughout the conference. Teenage models attend modeling sessions with guardians or parents and the entire event emphasizes safe practices. Dancer models can expect to have a fun and exciting experience in a warm and welcoming environment.


In addition to creating professional images, dancers gain valuable experience, build confidence, and connect with members of the dance community.


Dancer models are selected and supported by our Creative Directors, Jessica Garrett and Alexa Culclasure.

Apply to Become a 2027 Dancer Model

Dancers have two opportunities to apply to become a dancer model at the 2027 Pas de Deux Photo Conference:

Priority Application

  • Applications now closed

  • Invitations sent September 1st

​The Priority Dancer Application is now closed. Dancers who submitted their application using the Priority deadline will be invited via email by September 1st.

​

The Priority Application is ideal for dancers who know they want to attend the conference and would like to receive an early decision. Priority applicants are notified well in advance, allowing them to plan travel and conference participation early. 

​

Priority applicants are also eligible for consideration as Pas de Deux Photo All Stars. ​

General Application

  • Applications open now

  • Due November 15th

  • Invitations sent December 4th

The General Application provides flexibility for dancers who need additional time to confirm their February performance, rehearsal, and competition schedules before committing to the conference. 

​

Selected dancers who applied using this application will be invited via email by December 4th.

Interested in Performing?

Priority Applicants are the only dancers eligible to be selected as a Pas de Deux Photo All Star. All Stars take center stage during the Conference Closing Session on Monday, February 15, showcasing their talent in a special featured performance.​

​

Please note: Dancers must apply during the Priority Dancer Application period to be eligible for All Star consideration.

Become a Pas de Deux Photo All Star

The Pas de Deux Photo All Stars perform during the Conference Closing Session. Dancers interested in the performance should submit a one-minute dance video with their application.


This video should showcase the dancer's technical ability, performance quality, artistry, and overall talent. Selected performers will be invited to participate in the Closing Session.​

Preparing Your Application

Our Creative Directors are looking for dancers who are comfortable in front of the camera, enjoy modeling, and bring creativity and personality to their images.

​

As part of the application, dancers will upload photos that showcase their artistry, flexibility, technique, and ability to create compelling poses. Professional dance photographers are encouraged but not required. The most important qualities are clear, in-focus images that accurately represent the dancer.

​

Each application should include 4 photos:

  • A current headshot

  • Clear, high-quality images that are in focus, highlighting: 

    • Artistry

    • Flexibility

    • Technique 

Required Information Session

Families of dancers selected through the 2027 Priority Application process should plan to attend a virtual information session on September 10, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Central Time. Families of dancers accepted through the 2027 General Dancer Application should plan to attend a virtual information session on December 8th, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Central Time. 

 

During this webinar, Conference Directors and Creative Directors will provide important information about the dancer model experience, conference expectations, safety practices, scheduling, and opportunities available throughout the event.


This session is designed to help dancers and their families feel informed, prepared, and excited for the conference experience.
