So, You Landed a Dance Studio Client... Now What?

Saturday, February 13, 2027

1:00 PM - 2:15 PM

Sandhill Crane

Getting the studio is only the first step.

The success of a volume dance photography event is determined long before the first dancer steps in front of the camera. This session focuses on everything that must happen between signing the client and pressing the shutter for the first image on picture day.

We will cover studio-owner relationships, information gathering, planning and communication, workflow development, staffing considerations, equipment selection, set design, dancer tracking systems, scheduling, and picture-day preparation. The goal is to help photographers build a repeatable system that creates a smooth experience for studio owners, dancers, parents, and staff.

Whether you are preparing for your first dance studio or have photographed several and still feel like your workflow needs refinement, this session will provide practical, real-world guidance from years of volume dance photography experience.

If your picture day feels chaotic, the problem usually started weeks before picture day. This session is about preventing that chaos before it happens.

Whether you are preparing for your first dance studio or have photographed several and still feel like your workflow needs refinement, this session will provide practical, real-world guidance from years of volume dance photography experience.
