Creative Lighting: Dramatic Dance Portraits with Color Gels
Sunday, February 14, 2027
10:00 AM - 11:15 AM
Audubron Ballroom
Learn how to move beyond standard studio lighting and create bold dance portraits using intentional light placement, shadows, and color gels. I’ll demonstrate several setups in real time, explain why each light is placed where it is, and show how small adjustments can change the mood of an image. We’ll also look at how posing and movement work with the lighting. By the end, participants will be able to build and adapt creative lighting setups for dramatic, polished dance portraits.
